Bongo Cat Steam Market Guide: How to Sell Bongo Cat Hats and Emojis in Bulk

Open the Bongo Cat Multisell builder →

Summary: Bongo Cat (Steam app 3419430) is a free-to-play idle game from Irox Games whose hats, emojis and other cosmetics trade on the Steam Community Market as commodity items. Because they are commodities, many can be listed at once on Steam's Multisell page, and Steam Bulk Sell builds that link from a public inventory. Steam's Market FAQ lists no separate game fee for Bongo Cat, so after the 5% Steam Transaction Fee you keep about 95% of what the buyer pays, as Steam Wallet funds.

Bongo Cat is a free-to-play idle game from Irox Games that came out on Steam on March 5, 2025. Its Steam store page sums it up: "Every time you press a key, Bongo cat will punch your taskbar. Type, click, play, work to collect more points. Which hats will you find?"

Those hats, and the emojis and other cosmetics that drop alongside them, trade on the Steam Community Market. Leave the game running for a few weeks and you can end up with dozens of duplicates. This guide covers how the Bongo Cat market works, what you keep from each sale, and how to list a whole inventory at once with Steam's Multisell page.

How Bongo Cat drops work

The store page publishes the item drop pool chances, marked "subject to change":

RarityDrop chance listed by the developer
Common90%
Uncommon9.5%
Rare0.49%
Epic0.01%
Legendary1 in 500,000

Nine out of ten drops are Common, so most Bongo Cat inventories are mostly Common items, with plenty of duplicates. Those are exactly the items people want to clear out in bulk. The rarer drops are worth checking one by one before you list them.

The Bongo Cat market on Steam

The Bongo Cat market is the part of the Steam Community Market for app 3419430. You can browse it at steamcommunity.com/market/search?appid=3419430. When we checked in October 2026 it showed about 540 different items.

Every Bongo Cat item we've seen is a commodity. Steam's Market FAQ describes commodities as items where "all the items are identical, and can be traded interchangeably". In practice, every "Gamer Cap" is the same as every other "Gamer Cap", so they share one Market page, one price and one set of buy orders. That's what lets Steam's Multisell page list many of them in one go.

How to sell Bongo Cat items in bulk

  1. Check that your account can sell. Steam's Market rules apply to free games too: you need a qualifying purchase on the account and Steam Guard enabled for 15 days, among other requirements. See Steam Market selling requirements.
  2. Make your inventory public so the tool can read it (how).
  3. Open the Bongo Cat builder, paste your Steam profile URL, custom URL name or SteamID64, and click Load inventory.
  4. Pick the items and quantities you want to sell. Duplicates show as one row with a count.
  5. Open the Multisell link while signed in to Steam. Steam's own Multisell page opens with your items filled in.
  6. Set prices, submit and confirm. If you use the Steam Mobile Authenticator, confirm the listings in the Steam Mobile App.

Steam Bulk Sell only builds the link. It never asks for your Steam password, and the listing itself happens on Steam's site.

Pricing Bongo Cat items

Commodities trade through buy orders. Steam's Market FAQ explains that buy orders let you "see what other users are willing to pay for an item, and you can choose if you want to do a lower price to sell immediately; or go for a higher price and wait".

  • Common duplicates. If you just want them gone, price at or just above the highest buy order so they sell quickly.
  • Rare, Epic and Legendary drops. Open the item's Market page first and look at the current listings and recent sales. Don't put a rare drop into a fast batch at a Common price.
  • Very cheap items. Steam's transaction fee is 5% with a $0.01 minimum. On a $0.03 item, 5% would be $0.0015, so the $0.01 minimum applies instead. That's about a third of the price, so decide whether the cheapest items are worth listing at all.

Fees: what you keep

The Market FAQ lists a Steam Transaction Fee of 5% (minimum $0.01). It lists separate game fees only for Counter-Strike 2, Team Fortress 2, Dota 2 and Artifact, and Bongo Cat isn't one of them. Because the fee is added on top of the price you set, you keep about 95% of what the buyer pays. Steam's sell page shows the exact split before you confirm.

To estimate what a whole inventory is worth after fees, use our Steam inventory value guide.

Holds and locked items

  • Market hold. If you haven't had the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator for at least 7 days, Steam can hold your listings for up to 15 days before they appear on the Market (Holds FAQ).
  • Recently bought items. Items bought on the Market can't be traded or relisted until the date shown on the item in your inventory (Restrictions FAQ).
  • New device. Signing in on a new device can block Market use from it for 7 days, unless you've had the Mobile Authenticator for 7 days.

Steam Market fees, trade holds and restrictions explained covers these rules in more detail.

Where the money goes

Sales go to your Steam Wallet. Steam caps the wallet at $2000 and won't let you create a listing if your balance plus the sale price would go over. Wallet funds can't be withdrawn to a bank, so you can only spend them on Steam.

Common problems

  • An item is missing from the builder. It may still be locked after a Market purchase, or it may be in another game's inventory. The builder only reads app 3419430.
  • The inventory won't load. Set your profile and inventory to public, wait a minute and try again.
  • Listings aren't showing on the Market. They're probably on a market hold. Check the pending listings on your Steam Market page.

Open the Bongo Cat Multisell builder, load your public inventory and list your duplicate hats and emojis in one batch.
