Step by step
- Check your account. You need a purchase older than 7 days (but not older than a year) and Steam Guard enabled for 15 days (requirements).
- Make your inventory public (guide).
- Open the PAYDAY 2 builder, paste your profile URL, custom URL name or SteamID64, and click Load inventory.
- Select the skins to sell. Because condition and Stat Boost versions are separate items, you may see several rows for one skin.
- Open the Multisell link while signed in to Steam (app 218620).
- Price each row, submit and confirm in the Steam Mobile App if you use the authenticator.
Pricing tips for PAYDAY 2
- Price each name on its own. A Mint-Condition copy and a Battle-Worn copy of the same skin can sell for very different amounts, and so can the Stat Boost version. Check each item's Market page from the PAYDAY 2 page.
- Sort before you price. Pricing all the Mint-Condition rows together, then Lightly-Marked and so on, makes mistakes easier to catch.
- Use buy orders. Steam's Market FAQ explains that buy orders show "what other users are willing to pay for an item, and you can choose if you want to do a lower price to sell immediately; or go for a higher price and wait".
- Low-value skins. Steam's 5% transaction fee has a $0.01 minimum, so on items under about $0.20 the minimum fee is more than 5% of the price.
Fees
Steam's Market FAQ lists the Steam Transaction Fee of 5% (minimum $0.01), which it says the buyer pays. It lists separate game fees only for Counter-Strike 2, Team Fortress 2, Dota 2 and Artifact, and PAYDAY 2 isn't among them. The sell page shows the exact amounts. Holds
- Without the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator for at least 7 days, the items you list can be held for up to 15 days before buyers see them (Holds FAQ).
- Items bought in-game or on the Market aren't marketable until the date shown on the item in your inventory (Restrictions FAQ).
Wallet
Proceeds go to your Steam Wallet, which is capped at $2000. Steam won't let you list if your balance plus the sale price would exceed the cap. Wallet funds can't be withdrawn.
Troubleshooting
- A skin isn't in the builder. It may not be marketable yet, or it may not be marked as a commodity.
- Two rows look the same. Read the end of the name. One probably says Stat Boost or has a different condition.
- The inventory won't load. Make it public and retry after a minute.
