Dota 2 Items: How to Bulk Sell Stickers, Chests and Effigies on the Steam Market

Summary: Dota 2 event stickers, treasure chests and effigy blocks are commodity items that can be listed together through Steam's Multisell page. Steam's Market FAQ notes that newly purchased treasures can't be sold for the time shown on their item details page. Sales carry Steam's 5% Steam Transaction Fee plus a 10% Dota 2 fee, and listings can be held for up to 15 days without the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator active for 7 days.

Dota 2 events tend to leave you with lots of small, identical items: event stickers, leftover treasure chests, effigy blocks. Listing each one on its own through Steam's sell dialog is slow. Steam's Multisell page lists many at once, and Steam Bulk Sell builds the link from your public inventory.

Dota 2 also has some rules about what can be sold at all, and those catch many sellers out. Both are covered below.

How the Dota 2 market works

The Dota 2 market is the part of the Steam Community Market that lists items from Dota 2 (Steam app 570). You can browse it directly at steamcommunity.com/market/search?appid=570. Each item has its own Market page showing current sell listings and buy orders.

Most Dota 2 cosmetics are individual items rather than commodities, so only part of a Dota 2 inventory can go into a Multisell batch. The sections below show which part.

When you sell, you set the price you want to receive and Steam adds its fees on top. For Dota 2 you keep about 87% of what the buyer pays, because Steam's 5% transaction fee and the 10% game fee are both added on top of your price (Market FAQ). Which Dota 2 items work with Multisell

Multisell only accepts commodity items, which Steam's Market FAQ describes as items where "all the items are identical, and can be traded interchangeably". Most hero cosmetics with individual properties don't qualify. Stackable event items usually do.

Each finish of a sticker is its own Market item with its own price: "Glitter Boxi Player Sticker - TI 2022", "Gold Boxi Player Sticker - TI 2022" and "Holo Boxi Player Sticker - TI 2022" are three separate listings, so the builder shows them separately. The same goes for each level of an effigy block ("Effigy Block of Winter 2016 Level II" and "Effigy Block of Winter 2016 Level III").

Dota 2 cosmetics vs commodities

We checked the Dota 2 Market through Steam's own Community Market search on October 26, 2026. It listed 34,645 Dota 2 items.

The pattern is consistent: stickers and treasure chests are commodities, and most hero cosmetics are not. Cosmetics carry a quality prefix ("Auspicious", "Corrupted" and so on) and a rarity and slot ("Immortal arms", "Mythical Wearable"). Each one is listed on its own from your inventory's sell dialog, while stickers and chests can go into a Multisell batch. The Dota 2 builder only shows the commodity items in your inventory.

What Steam won't let you sell

Steam's Market FAQ lists two Dota 2 cases:

• Newly purchased treasures "can't be sold on the Community Market for the set amount of time noted on their item details page."
• Timed drops are "permanently not marketable."

More generally, Steam's Trading and Market Restrictions FAQ says items bought in-game or on the Market aren't tradable or marketable until the date shown on the item in your inventory. If a chest you bought recently doesn't appear in the builder, check its item details in your Steam inventory for that date.

Step by step

1. Confirm you can use the Market. You need a purchase older than 7 days (but not older than a year) and Steam Guard enabled for 15 days (details).
2. Make your inventory public (how).
3. Open the Dota 2 Multisell builder, paste your Steam profile, and click Load inventory.
4. Tick the items you want to sell. Only marketable commodities appear.
5. Open the Multisell link while signed in to Steam. Steam's page opens for app 570.
6. Set a price for each item, submit, and confirm in the Steam Mobile App if you use the authenticator.

Pricing a sticker collection

Event sticker sets often contain dozens of different stickers worth a few cents each, plus a few much more valuable ones. A few things help:

• Split cheap and valuable stickers into separate batches. It's easy to drop a decimal point when pricing 40 items on one page.
• Mind the minimum fee. Steam's transaction fee is 5% with a $0.01 minimum. On a $0.05 sticker the minimum applies, which works out to 20% of the price. For very cheap items, decide whether listing is worth it.
• Use buy orders. Commodity items sell through buy orders. Steam's Market FAQ notes you "can choose if you want to do a lower price to sell immediately; or go for a higher price and wait". Each item on the Dota 2 page links to its Market listing, so you can check the current orders.

Dota 2 fees

Dota 2 has a game-specific fee on top of Steam's own. Per the Market FAQ:

• the Steam Transaction Fee is 5% (minimum $0.01), and the FAQ says the buyer pays it;
• the Dota 2 Fee "is a game specific fee that is determined and collected by the game publisher", currently 10%.

Holds

If your account hasn't had the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator for at least the last 7 days, the items you list can be held for up to 15 days before buyers see them (Trade and Market Holds FAQ). After 7 days with the authenticator, new listings aren't held, and you confirm them in the Steam Mobile App instead.

Wallet limits

Sales go to your Steam Wallet and can't be withdrawn to a bank. Steam caps wallet balances at $2000 and blocks a listing if your balance plus the sale price would exceed it. Steam's single-listing maximum is about $1800.

Troubleshooting

• A cosmetic isn't in the list. It's either not a commodity or not marketable yet. Check the item's description in your Steam inventory.
• A treasure is missing. Newly bought treasures stay locked for the period shown on the item.
