s&box is Facepunch Studios' game creation platform. Its Steam store page describes it as a place to "Play, create, and share games, all in one place". It came out on Steam on April 28, 2026. Alongside the games, s&box has a wardrobe of avatar clothing and cosmetics, and those items trade on the Steam Community Market.
This guide covers what's on the s&box market, how selling works, and how to list a pile of duplicates in one go.

What's on the s&box market
On October 26, 2026, Steam's Community Market search returned 247 s&box items. Our catalog for the game also holds 247 names. Every item in a sample of the Market's most popular s&box listings was flagged by Steam as a commodity. Steam's Market FAQ describes a commodity as an item where "all the items are identical, and can be traded interchangeably", so every copy of one item shares a Market page, a price and its buy orders.
The items are mostly avatar clothing. Here are examples from our catalog, using exact Market names:
| Group | Examples |
|---|---|
| Hats, caps and helmets | Cowboy Hat, Chef Hat, Aviator Helmet, Biking Helmet Red, Snapback Camo, Mob Boss Fedora, Wizard Hat, Plague Doctor Mask |
| Jackets, coats and tops | Leather Coat, Varsity Jacket, Fleece Jacket Camo, Puffer Gilet Orange, Suit Jacket Gold, Turtleneck Green, Police Vest, Physics Gun Tshirt |
| Trousers, skirts and shoes | Tactical Trousers, SkinnyJeans, Blue Pleated Skirt, Mob Boss Shoes, Sneakers Gravity, Fluffy Slippers |
| Glasses and accessories | Sunglasses Gold, Black Teashade Sunglasses, Googly Eye Glasses, Tie (Red), Tactical Backpack, Cardboard Jetpack, SWAG Chain, Gold Earrings |
| Costumes and one-offs | The Hotdog Costume, Cardboard Robot Costume, Inflatable Dino Costume, Cow Onesie, Katana, Gumball Machine |
Colour variants are separate items
Many s&box clothes come in several colours, and each colour is its own Market item. For example, Fleece Jacket comes in Blue, Brown, Camo, Pink, Purple and White. Suit Jacket comes in Black, Blue, Brown, Gold, Red and White. When you price, compare the exact colour, because "Suit Jacket Gold" and "Suit Jacket Black" have separate Market pages and can sell for very different prices.
Seasonal items carry a year
Some names include a year, which marks the event the item belongs to. Our catalog has 3 names with 2024 (the Santa 2024 set), 12 with 2025 (including Easter Bonnet 2025, Halloween Hoodie 2025 and Valentines Bear Head 2025), and 9 with 2026 (including Lunar Jacket 2026, Easter Bunny Hat 2026 and Halloween 2026 Onesie). Like the colour variants, each one has its own Market page.
The s&box Multisell page lists every item in our catalog, with a link to each one's Steam Market page.
What you keep from a sale
The Market FAQ lists a separate game fee only for Counter-Strike 2, Team Fortress 2, Dota 2 and Artifact. For s&box, the only fee is the 5% Steam Transaction Fee, with a minimum of $0.01. It's added on top of the price you set, so you keep about 95% of what the buyer pays. The minimum matters for cheap clothing. On a $0.05 listing, the $0.01 fee is a fifth of the price.
The money goes to your Steam Wallet, which holds up to $2000. It can't be withdrawn to a bank (Market FAQ). See can you sell Steam items for real money?
How to sell s&box items in bulk
- Check your account can sell. You need a purchase more than 7 days old (but not older than a year) and Steam Guard on for 15 days (requirements).
- Make your inventory public so the builder can read it (how).
- Open the s&box builder, paste your Steam profile URL, custom URL name or SteamID64, and click Load inventory. Duplicates appear as one row with a count.
- Choose items and quantities, then open the Multisell link in the browser where you're signed in to Steam.
- Set prices on Steam, submit, and confirm the listings in the Steam Mobile App if you use the authenticator.
If you haven't had the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator for at least 7 days, Steam can hold new listings for up to 15 days before buyers see them (Mobile Authenticator FAQ). If something won't list, see why you can't sell on the Steam Market.
Don't forget the trading cards
The Steam Store lists Steam Trading Cards for s&box. Cards drop to your Steam inventory, not your s&box inventory, so they don't appear in the s&box builder. You can sell them on the Market, craft them into a badge, or turn them into gems. See how to sell Steam trading cards.
Load your inventory in the s&box Multisell builder and list all your duplicate s&box clothing in one batch.
